The Richmond Bridge Association was founded over 60 years ago. The purpose of the RBA is to encourage the game of bridge as a social, recreational, and competitive activity and to strive to preserve, promote, and stimulate interest in duplicate bridge in Central Virginia.
The RBA has approximately 700 members in the area designated as Unit 109 by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL). The area of Unit 109 includes most of central Virginia, including Richmond, Fredericksburg, Colonial Heights, and Petersburg.
The RBA holds its Unit Game on the second Wednesday of each month at the Bridge Center in Richmond.
District 6 and District 7 (the Carolinas and Georgia) have formed the Mid-Atlantic Bridge Conference (MABC) for the purpose of scheduling regional events.
